Tugging on Your Heartstrings to Help Make an Adoption Happen

Did you know that there are little boys in China that need to be adopted?  Most people tend to think of little girls needing to be adopted from China but there are little boys in need of loving families too!

My Sis and her husband are adoption a little boy with minor special needs from China.  The picture below is their beautiful family now.  They have already adopted two amazing children (I may be just a little biased) and now they are opening their hearts once again.

The reason I am sharing about this adoption on my blog is because my sister has fund raising going on now on her blog to make this adoption a reality and there are some cool things in it for those who help. You can actually be a part of bringing this little boy across the ocean to his new family.
First, you can bid (auction style) on some amazing deals for some great items from etsy shops and others.  Check out the list of items here.  If you’d like a chance (and the odds are good right now) to win a bunch of gift certificates for some great items (see the list below) then you can enter this giveaway. There is a minimum $5 donation to enter but you have a chance to win over $300 worth of gift certificates and it’s for a great cause! Click here and follow the instructions to enter.

"I prayed for this child" wall graphic vinyl sticker

I wanted to share this beautiful vinyl wall sticker that I found at Old Barn Rescue Company’s Shop. The scripture is from 1 Samuel 1:27 and says “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.”  It would make a sweet addition to nursery decor.  They also have TONS of other great designs for just about every room in your house.

"The Wait Can Be Difficult" From ADOPTIONcards Giveaway

When I saw this card I knew that it was the kind of card that should be given more often. If you have ever adopted, or have known someone who has, then chances are that you know that the wait can be difficult and very emotional.  I love that this card offers a way for you to communicate your support to the waiting family.  ADOPTIONcards Etsy shop sells adoption themed cards like the one above and several other designs.  You can also find Gotcha Day, Adoption Day, and Congratulations cards
The front of this card features a silhouette of a couple with a small child.  These silhouettes can be changed to properly reflect the age of the child (or children) that is being adopted.  You can customize the inside of the card as well.  You can choose to have it blank, choose from one of the four messages shown here, or ask for a custom message printed inside.
