Ribbies Clippies: Adorable Hair Clips for Little Girls {and a giveaway}

With 5 girls I have been through my fair share of hair styling battles. Little ones are the worst when it comes to sitting still and letting me do their hair.  When I got my hands on some Ribbies I was excited because these little clippies are crazy cute and so quick to put in.  Who needs a pony tail when you can pop in cute Ribbies in just a few seconds?
I am a hair bow and flower fan too but for little ones with finer hair sometimes the bow doesn’t make it out the door with us.  I’ll often find it on the floor because it fell out or in the car because it was easily pulled out.  That’s why I am loving Ribbies!  These adorable clippies have foam grip on them so they are not easily pulled out and won’t fall out!
Ribbies are great for older girls too.  I love this look of two clippies on one side!
There are SO many incredibly cute designs of Ribbies to choose from so you can have them match every outfit if you wish.  Or you can just pick a few simple designs to match almost everything.  My favorite set is the Zoe set (shown below) but it’s not an easy choice.

Little Earth’s Beauty Play Makeup for Girls Review & Giveaway

My daughter had a blast with this cute makeup set! Little Earth’s Beauty offers play makeup for ages 4-9 that you can feel good about your daughter using.  Their makeup is free of synthetic dyes and other harmful ingredients that so many little girls play makeup sets contain. They disclose all of the ingredients here.

We received the Valentine’s edition of Little Earth’s Beauty play makeup set.  It comes in a cute bag that looks like a little purse with hearts all over it.  Inside there is a mirror, lip gloss, pink glitter gel and silver glitter gel.

Everything goes on very nicely and a little bit goes a long way!  We especially liked the yummy scent of the lip gloss (um, yes, I tried it too and may just borrow it on occasion ;o).  It smells like watermelon.

After our “makeover” I was very happy that the makeup looked natural and glittery as opposed to overly bright and made up.  I like my little girl to look like the sweet, innocent girl she is even when she is playing with makeup.  Little Earth’s Beauty Makeup Set did just that.

Themed Gifts: Ladybugs!

Do you have a “Little Ladybug” in your house or know someone who has taken a liking to ladybugs?  My 4th daughter is our “Little Ladybug.”  It started because we didn’t know if she would be a boy or girl and I was set on a bug theme for the nursery. So I decided to go with the theme and if I happened to have a girl I would add more red and more ladybugs.   It ended up being very cute and she now loves anything with ladybugs on it.  I know ladybugs are popular and thought I would list some of our favorite ladybug gift items.

Land of Nod has this cute ladybug backpack from Beatrix.  Beatrix also makes matching lunchboxes and larger luggage with this and other kid friendly designs.

My older girls and I had fun using the All Natural Essential Makeup Kit for Tweens.  It comes with a great variety of everything you need for makeup application.  The kit includes 5 colors of eyeshadow, foundation, blush, lotion, jojoba oil, perfume, multiple lip balms, a mirror and a bamboo applicator set (which uses only synthetic hair).  Even though the makeup is colored it goes on looking natural which is appealing in a makeup for tweens who are just starting to wear makeup or only wearing it for special occasions.  The lip balms come in a variety of colors but go on like a gloss that highlights the girl’s natural lip color.  The makeup comes off as easily as it goes on.  You can use a moist tissue or a natural oil such as the jojoba oil that is included in the kit.
