I Heart the Bugaboo Bee {& a Bugaboo Giveaway}

I had the amazing opportunity to try out a Bugaboo Bee for a few weeks.  It confirmed for me what I thought it would.  I should have gotten one in the first place and so should you!

With 6 kids I have been through 5 strollers.  I think the number is so high because I was never really satisfied with the stroller I had. They were big and bulky, difficult to steer, tricky to fold down and set up, just to name a few of my issues.

Bugaboo wasn’t around (or at least I hadn’t heard of them) until I was expecting my last child.  At that point I really wanted a Bugaboo and was planning to purchase the Bee. However, I ended up giving in and getting a cheaper stroller.  Big mistake!  This stroller (while still being from a reputable manufacturer) ended up being a major pain!  To steer it was a nightmare and the straps were frustrating to use (to say the least).  Oh, and it’s big and bulky.  It would have been a much better investment for me to have purchased the Bee to begin with!

So, I am guessing you want to hear why I am advising you to use your hard earned money to purchase a Bugaboo Bee?  Well, the very first thing I noticed is how light it is.  It arrived on my doorstep in a huge box and I thought I was going to have to enlist some help to lift it.  Nope, it was incredibly light!  This makes it easy to get it in and out of the car as well as to push it around.

The Bugaboo Bee pops up and collapses down very easily and is very intuitive! I did read the manual but I felt as though most everything was very easy to figure out just by looking at the stroller. I loved that!

And my favorite feature?  This stroller rolls around like it’s gliding on ice.  It is the most smooth stroller I have ever tried and SO easy to push around.  The Bee turns on a dime and fitting through tight quarters is a breeze.

The Bugaboo Bee is a stroller that you can use from newborn to toddler and you can customize it by picking your favorite color and accessories.  I love that you can flip the seat around so that the baby is either facing you or away from you.  Oh and the seat adjustment for height is super easy.  I have never seen a stroller that was as easy to adjust as the Bee.

If you want to use your car seat with the Bee you can purchase an adapter so that you can go from car to stroller without disturbing your sleeping baby.

For more information or to purchase you can check out the Bee on Bugaboo’s site here. Or you can purchase the Bee on Amazon. The Bugaboo Bee retails for $600 for the base and $49-$59 for the sun canopy.

Sneaking In Veggies the Easy Way {& a Giveaway so you can too!}

We are pretty health conscious in my home.  We eat organically as much as possible, use whole grains, have some gluten-free eaters, and try get in a good amount of fruits and veggies.  Notice I said “try.”

I’m just like the next mom. My kids don’t always like to eat thier fruits and veggies.  So we do things like use supplements and add veggies in recipes where we can.

Recently I was sent some pouches of NurturMe Organics to try.  Sweet!  A super easy way to add fruit and veggie goodness to recipes!  These pouches of dried fruits and veggies are great for feeding baby (just add water, breast milk or formula), or adding to other foods to increase nutrition.

Don’t tell my kids but I hid a pouch of carrots in their mac n cheese!  They didn’t even notice!

The possibilities are endless.  You could add bananas or apples to granola bars, cookies or muffins.  Or try them in a smoothie with some milk, yogurt and frozen strawberries.  You could also add the veggie varieties to pasta and sauce.

Would you like to WIN a weeks supply of NuturMe packs?  Enter the giveaway with the Rafflecopter entry form below. If you are reading this in an email or feedreader click over to the site to enter.

Seventh Generation Training Pants Are LORAX Approved {& a Giveaway!}

I’ve been a fan of Seventh Generation diapers since my youngest was was born. It’s been very important to me to use products that are free of chlorine, fragrance and petroleum-based lotions, especially on such sensitive parts as little bottoms. Seventh Generation diapers and training pants are “Free & Clear” of these things and are also hypo allergenic.

When it comes to potty training, I desire to use training pants that are easy to get on and off, are comfortable for my child and, of course, won’t leak. We’ve had great success with Seventh Generation training pants and I highly recommend them. They are perfect for when you are out and about and want to make sure to avoid accidents or when you are still night training. The sides tear off easily for quick (or messy) changes.

Right now The LORAX character is making an appearance on limited edition Seventh Generation diapers and training pants. Seventh Generation cares about sustainability and our environment just as much as The LORAX does. They make a great team!

Between now and May 25, when you purchase 3 specially-marked packages of Diapers, Training Pants, and/or Overnight Diapers, you can receive a FREE scrapbook! Visit Seventh Generation’s site for all of the details.

The LORAX is a great book to read with your kids. It’s a great story about the consequences of using up all of our resources and polluting our planet.  Once you’ve read the book (or perhaps before) check out the movie.  Our family really enjoyed it.

Now you have the chance to WIN One package of new Seventh Generation Free & Clear Training Pants AND A copy of Dr. Seuss’ The LORAX storybook. Enter by filling out the Rafflecopter form below (if you are viewing this in an email just click over to the the site to enter).

Peter Rabbit Organics Fruit & Vegetable Squeeze Pouches {& a Giveaway}

Have you ever wondered what to keep on hand for a great healthy snack at home or to easily take with you on the go without refrigeration?  Want 100% organic baby food that’s really convenient?  Peter Rabbit Organics is just what you need.

Peter Rabbit Organics is a line of fruit and vegetable combination pouches that are nutritious, convenient, and kids love them.  I know because my kids were excited about them as soon as they saw them.  They loved squeezing them and said the flavors were really yummy.

Would you believe that kids ages 3, 6 & 7 would eat peas, spinach and apples and love it?  I honestly didn’t think we would finish the Pea, Spinach & Apple pouch from Peter Rabbit Organics but my kids said it was “Sooo good!”  Really?!  Okay, that settles it. These pouches will become a go to snack for us from now on.  I will gladly buy pouches of organic fruits and veggies from Peter Rabbit Organics because they are fun to squeeze and eat and my kids happily gulp down 100% organic goodness.  That makes this momma happy!

Peter Rabbit Organics are suitable from 6 months and up (great for adult lunches too. I enjoyed them).  You can feel good about these fruit and veggie pouches because they are free of added salt, sugar or artificial ingredients.

My family is pretty passionate about eating organically and buying local when we can.  I really like that Peter Rabbit Organics is a small company committed to making quality products that are produced in Oregon, USA and, where possible, they are using local ingredients sourced from within the US.

There are many flavors to choose from like Apple & Grape, Strawberry & Banana, Carrot, Squash & Apple and Sweet Potato, Corn & Apple. Try them all.  You’ll have to let me know if your kids like the Pea, Spinach & Apple as much as my kids did.

You can find Peter Rabbit Organics at Whole Foods, Publix, Starbucks, Albertsons and more.  If you want to purchase them online try Amazon or Target.
