Beautiful Custom Adoption Announcements from pipe|up

When I stumbled upon these adoption announcements I just had to share them.  They are just precious and the sentiment is so true.  These beautifully designed announcements are the the work of Heather at pipe|up.  Her Etsy shop is filled with creatively designed cards for adoption and baby announcements as well as holiday cards and wedding save the date cards.  All of her designs are customizable and any of her baby announcements can be made into adoption announcements as well. 

Her announcement designs are very reasonably priced at $15.  Once you place an order you will send her the details of how you want to customize the announcement including the size you prefer (4×6 or 5×7), a photograph, text, colors and baby/child’s info. Within 24-48 hours you will receive a proof. You can then print as many as you need as a regular photo file at a location of your choice (costco | cvs | walgreens | snapfish) and mail them to friends and family. If you would rather have them professionally press printed on card stock she can print them for you at an additional cost (see price chart here).

Beautiful Adoption Themed "Born in My Heart" Personalized Stamped Necklace

Helping the Orphan and the Widow All At Once

I came across this organization today and think it is an absolutely brilliant idea!  Both Hands Foundation is helping couples that are wanting to adopt get funding and helping widows at the same time.  How it works is a couple will first apply then, once approved, identify 10 volunteers (friends, family, etc.).  The volunteers send sponsorship letters out asking friends and family to sponsor them as they work on a widow’s home improvement or landscaping project.  The volunteers work for 1 day on the widow’s home and all of the funds raised are used to fund the adoption. Based on prior history, the Both Hands project helps generate $10,000+ (on average) for the adoption.  If you want to help this organization you can donate here. Simplewear "Welcomed With Love" Onesie Giveaway

This precious one would make a great “coming home” or adoption announcement photo outfit. This onesie states “Welcomed with love by:” and is customized with each parent’s name. The simplewear logo appears in a complimentary color on the back side of the onesie. What a great gift this would make for parents who are adopting! It could even be a gift of encouragement as parents wait for their baby. Big Brother and Big Sister t-shirts are available as well.
